El kikuyu (Gĩkũyũ) es una lengua bantú del centro de Kenia, propia de las laderas del monte Kenia. El novelista Ngũgĩ wa Thiong'o eligió de forma célebre escribir en kikuyu a partir de 1977 como acto de descolonización de la literatura africana.
