El maratí (मराठी) es una lengua indoaria propia del estado de Maharashtra, en el oeste de la India, con unos 83 millones de hablantes, lo que lo sitúa entre las 15 lenguas más habladas del mundo. Es la lengua oficial de Maharashtra y de Goa (junto al konkaní) y la India lo reconoce como lengua clásica desde 2024. Entre sus dialectos principales están el maratí estándar, el varhadi y el konkaní-maratí.
El maratí tiene tres géneros gramaticales (masculino, femenino y neutro), ocho casos (a menudo realizados como posposiciones) y ergatividad escindida en los tiempos perfectivos. También distingue el «nosotros» inclusivo del exclusivo (आपण āpaṇ frente a आम्ही āmhī).
